Membership Questions:

How do I become a member?

This is a very simple process and can be done either in person at reception or over the phone. Simply inform the member of staff that you wish to become a member and they will talk you through the different options available, take any relevant details for you and payment.

From that point on will get members rates on bookings, classes and if you are an authorised gym user, members rate on gym usage. Its as easy as that!

 
What are the benefits of becoming a member?

Members at MSC get a number of benefits:

  • Discounted prices (theses can be see on the full price list by clincking HERE)
  • Ability to pre-book up to 7 days in advance
  • Can pre-book without having to pay until the time of the booking.
  • Memberships Cards can be used as deposit for equipment hire.
 
Why did I not get a membership card when I signed up?

Membership Cards are an additional £1 and can be purchased at any time by a current member of the complex.

 
 

Gym Questions:

How do I go about joining the gym?

Firstly you need to complete a gym induction. This involves one of our members of staff taking you round the gym and showing / demonstrating to you how to correctly use the equipment, this usually takes between 30 - 45mins. Once this is completed you are a authorised gym user and can use the gym at at time it is open to the public.

Inductions must be booked and paid for in advance and are done on Mondays evenings at 8:00pm. Included in the price of induction is an additional 3 Free Session in the gym and 1 Free Class usage.

Is the gym available to be used during week days and weekends?

Booking Questions:

If I make a booking, when do I need to pay for it?

If you are a current member then you can make bookings up to a week in advance, this can be paid for immediately, be it in person or over the phone or on the day of the booking, just prior to your booking start time.

For non-members you can still book up to 6 days in advance but payment must be taken at the time of booking. Whether you come into the centre in person or are making a booking over the phone, the booking will not be made unless payment is received.

 
How far in advance can I make a booking?

Members of the complex can book up to 7 days in advance. Non-members can book up to 6 days in advance although payment must be made at the time of the booking.

 
Do I need to book in advance to attend a class?

No, all of the classes that are ran here at MSC are done on a pay as you go basis. So if you fancy coming to a class, simply come along at the specified time, pay for the desired class at reception and off you go!

Some classes such as Kickboxing and Dancercise are not ran by ourselves and therfore you should consult with them for prices

 
Can I cancel a booking if I need to?
Yes, you can cancel a booking aslong as you give 48 hours notice. If less than 48 hours notice is given you are required to pay the full amount, unless we are able to re-sell the slot.  
 

Childrens Party Questions:

What are the different types of Childrens Parties that you offer?

We offer a range of different types of parties to try and suit all children of different ages. Should you wish to view them, click HERE to view our Childrens Party Leaflet

 
How long do the parties go on for?

All our Childrens Parties are generally for 1 hour slots although should you wish to have a longer party, we can arrange for this.

 
How long is the food area hire for?

The Food Area hire is for half of the Sports Hall for a 45 minute booking. This time is for you to provide food for the children or if we are catering for your party, time for us to serve and the children eat.

We do ask that you incorporate any packing up of things you may have bought with you into this 45 minutes as we often have other parties coming afterwards.

 
Who is responsible for supervising the food area?

You are responsible for supervising the children after the 1 hour of the party has finished. The staff are only booked for the party itself and not for the food area time period.

 
Where will the Food Area be?

The Food Area is always booked in the Sports Hall. A tressle table for parent, small round tables and stools are provided for the children.

In the event of no other bookings being in the Sports Complex you may be able to use the Bar/Lounge area.

 
When can I book a Childrens Party for?

Childrens Parties can only be booked during weekends or on Fridays 4:15pm-5:15pm.

When do I need to pay for my Childrens Party?
Payment for Childrens Parties must be made at the time of booking in full. We will not make a booking unless payment is taken.  
I have booked a Football Party with a member of staff, what will happen in the party?

Depending on the number of children attending the party, the party host will split the children up into 2 or 3 teams. The birthday Boy/Girl to be one of the captains!

For the first 45 minutes the children will play in a large match using the entire sports hall, if there are 3 teams then they will rotate so they are get to play. Teams can also be changed if they need to be.

Then for the last 15 minutes of the hour the party host/parent/child will go in goal for a penalty shoot out competion to see who is the next potential Wayne Rooney!

 
How does a Bouncy Castle Party operate?

The Bouncy Castle will be set up and ready for the start of the party aswell as play equipment such as Trikes, Bikes and Scooters, Hoops, Soft Balls, Football Goals, Large Colourful Parachute and other bits and bobs.

There will be two party hosts in the party, one will be watching and supervising the bouncy castle whilst the other will be playing games with the children be that structured or unstructured games.

Once the hour is over the party host will let down the Bouncy Castle and encourage the children to sit down for thier food.

 
I have booked a Roller Disco Party, can the children bring their own skates with them?
We encourage any children or adults who are attending a Roller Disco party to bring thier own skates.  
Do I need to bring anything with me to a party?
If you are having self catered food you will need to bring everything this entails with you, such as plates, cups,cutlery etc. We can make up jugs of juice for you if you wish to purchase them from the bar or you can provide your own juice.  
Am I expected to clear up after the party has finished?
It would be much appreciated if you can clear up what you can, the party host will also assist in the clearing of the party area.

What ages is the Playscheme available to?
The Playscheme is open to children aged 4 - 13 years old

General Questions:

How can I hire the Village Hall for an event?

All village hall bookings are dealt with by Moulton Parish Council and not by MSC.

Should you wish to make a booking of the village hall please contact Jane Austin, Parish Clerk on 01604 492318.

With regards to booking an event with the use of the MSC Bar area, such as for a Wedding Reception, Christening, Birthday Parties etc. This is possible but bookings are still made via the Parish Council.
